The Provenance

The mariposa crosses open water on wings that should not carry it that far. It lands where it pleases.

On one end of the open band a flower of four pavé wings spreads around a golden heart. On the other, a marquise of natural aquamarine, a drop of sky cut to a point at both ends. The band never closes, the way a landing is never a cage.

Cast in 18 karat gold in Istanbul and finished by hand, each piece is made to order for its keeper. Every stone is natural, D to F colour and VS clarity at minimum, and an HRD Antwerp certificate travels with the piece alongside its Guild 79 provenance record. The blue stone is natural and chosen by hand.

Significant stones in a Guild 79 piece are graded on their own merits by an independent gemological laboratory, such as GIA or HRD Antwerp. Where a piece holds more than one such stone, each carries its own report.

Diamond reports grade the stone’s carat, colour, clarity, and cut. Coloured-stone reports confirm identity, weight, and any treatment, with origin where the laboratory can determine it. The report is supplied with the piece for independent verification and can pass with it to a future owner.

Provenance Certificate

Every piece carries
its own record

Each edition is issued a unique Certificate of Provenance recording its coordinates of origin, the date it was made, and a signed studio attestation, with a QR code linking to its record in the Guild 79 archive. It travels with the piece and can be transferred to the next owner.
